The significant increase in carbon emissions in developing countries, particularly in low-middle income countries in the SAARC region, shows that this region has not been able to balance economic growth and environmental preservation. This is in line with the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) theory, which states that economic activities will initially tend to produce pollution. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the relationship between carbon footprint, renewable energy consumption, agricultural land, and industri 4.0 in low-middle income countries in the SAARC region during the period 1992-2021. This study uses the FMOLS regression method to examine the effect of independent variables on dependent variables in the long term. The results show that renewable energy consumption has negative and significant on carbon emissions in the long term. Industri 4.0 have a positive and significant effect on carbon emissions in the long term. Meanwhile, agricultural land has a negative and insignificant effect on carbon emissions in the long term. Thus, SAARC governments need to encourage the transition to renewable energy and implement sustainable industrial development policies.
Rima Herlista, Zulfa Emalia Copyright (c) 2026 Rima Herlista, Zulfa Emalia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://efebe.feb.unila.ac.id/index.php/efebe/article/view/327 Sat, 28 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 PENGARUH KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL DAN PERILAKU ETIS TERHADAP KINERJA GURU SMP DI BANDAR LAMPUNG https://efebe.feb.unila.ac.id/index.php/efebe/article/view/326
This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence and ethical behavior on the performance of junior high school teachers in Bandar Lampung. The research is based on the consideration that the success of teachers in carrying out their professional roles is not only determined by technical competence but also by psychological factors and ethical condusct that shape the quality of educational services. This study employed a causal quantitative design, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 140 teachers, and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that emotional intelligence and ethical behavior have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Teachers with strong emotional intelligence are better able to manage stress, communicate effectively, and build constructive relationships in learning environments, which supports higher performance. In addition, ethical behavior such as integrity, responsibility, professionalism, and fairness strengthens interpersonal trust and enhances educational service quality. These results emphasize that developing teachers’ emotional intelligence and professional ethics should be prioritized through continuous training, institutional support, and systematic performance evaluation to improve teacher performance and the overall quality of education in the modern era
Brian Napitu, Nova Mardiana Copyright (c) 2026 Brian Napitu, Nova Mardiana https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://efebe.feb.unila.ac.id/index.php/efebe/article/view/326 Mon, 23 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000
